Secret to Success in Athens this season.
#1
The first thing the Dawgs need to do better is get after the quarterback at a high rate. Georgia ranked 107th in total team sacks last year. That has to improve if the Dawgs want to win a National Title. The concerning part is that the pass rushers are largely the same as last year, so hopefully they've taken a step forward this offseason.

The rushing game is also a huge key to success this season. The Dawgs ran the ball well last year, but they need more explosive runs. We need D'Andre Swift or Sony Michel type runs from Frazier or Bowens this year, and with this offensive line being as strong as it is, those big plays should be there for the taking.

Finally, the last key is playing their best football in January. The Dawgs have had some of their worst games of the past two years in back to back Sugar Bowls. Last year, Kirby had this team playing fantastically at the end of the regular season and through the SEC Championship Game, but then the Dawgs came out flat against Ole Miss.

Cool

3RD down conversions need improvement as well. The OL is obviously key to the running game and 3RD down conversions. There were too many 3RD and short situations where UGA failed to gain a 1st down. They went for it on 4TH down and were #1 in 4TH down conversions. I'd rather they get the 1ST down on before having to go for it on 4TH.
