TEMPE, Ariz. – The sixth-seeded Georgia gymnastics team scored a 197.750 in the NCAA Tempe Regional final to finish second in the meet and punch its ticket to the 2026 National Collegiate Championship Semifinal at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. This is Georgia's first appearance in the National Championship Semifinal since 2019. The National Collegiate Championship Semifinal will take place on Thursday, April 16, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The top two teams from each semifinal session will advance to the National Collegiate Championship Final on Saturday, April 18.
STARKVILLE, MISS. –Michael O'Shaughnessy's three-run home run in extra innings capped fourth-ranked Georgia baseball's historic sweep of fifth-ranked Mississippi State Saturday in front of 10,256 fans at Dudy Noble Field at Polk-Dement Stadium. Georgia won 8-5 in 10 innings Saturday after posting 10-9 and 3-1 wins the previous two days as State fell to 25-7, 7-5 SEC. MSU was 18-0 at home this season coming into the series. Georgia (27-6, 10-2 SEC) returns to Foley Field for its next five games starting Tuesday when it faces Presbyterian.
BATON ROUGE, La. — Georgia Track and Field wrapped up its stay at LSU's Battle on the Bayou in impressive fashion on Saturday night, recording four event wins and setting two school records. The women's 4x100 meter relay squad started the day off strong, capturing the first school record of the day. On the men's side, freshman Le'Ezra Brown also delivered a school record breaking performance with a 13.29 (+1.9m/s) finish in the men's 110m hurdles. That finish earned him the event win, set a new meet record and registered as a 2026 world lead. Meanwhile in the field, sophomore Skylynn Townsend added to Georgia's success on the day with an all-conditions career best leap of 13.67m/44-10.25 (+2.5m/s) in the triple jump that won the event. In the men's 400 meter, freshman Jonathan Simms also tallied an event win, finishing at 44.76. Simm's finish registered as a meet record, 2026 NCAA lead and ranks third in program history outdoors. The women's section of the 400 meter also produced two strong performances by graduate transfers Shaquena Foote and Vimbayi Maisvorewa. Foote crossed the line first for the Bulldogs in third at a career best 50.88, which ranks fourth in the NCAA this season and fifth in school history. Maisvorewa followed in fifth at 51.71, which ranks ninth in program history. Bulldog duo Hodge and Carter closed out the meet with an impressive showing in the women's 100m dash. Hodge clocked a 11.04 (+2.4m/s), good for event win, second in the current NCAA rankings and third in program history. The time also established a new British Virgin Islands national record, which Hodge previously held at 11.11. Carter followed with a fourth place finish at 11.20 (+2.4m/s), which ranks fifth in both the NCAA and school history.
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Freshman JD Culbreth shot 12-under par to hold the solo lead at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. The Georgia men's golf team shot 23-under par to sit tied for sixth.

ATHENS, Ga. — The University of Georgia and women's basketball head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson have mutually agreed to part ways, the UGA Athletic Association announced Saturday. Abrahamson-Henderson compiled a 69-59 overall record with a pair of NCAA tournament appearances during her four seasons as Georgia's head coach.
