ATHENS, Ga. - Former Georgia standouts Nolan McCarthy and Brian Zeldin recently signed minor league free agent contracts as 2026 Spring Training action continues in Florida and Arizona. McCarthy, a 6-0, 196-pound native of Kalamazoo, Mich., signed with the Detroit Tigers organization. Zeldin, a 5-11, 196-pound pitcher from Atlanta, Ga., signed with the Minnesota Twins. Currently, Georgia has nine former players in Major League Spring Training camps. Pitcher Jonathan Cannon (Chicago White Sox), pitcher Will Childers (Milwaukee), first baseman Charlie Condon (Colorado), infielder Kyle Farmer (Atlanta), pitcher Emerson Hancock (Seattle), pitcher Dylan Ross (New York Mets), infielder Aaron Schunk (Atlanta), pitcher Ryan Webb (Cleveland) and pitcher Cole Wilcox (Seattle).

ATHENS, Ga. — Junior guard Rylie Theuerkauf, a leader both on and off the court for the No. 23-ranked Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team, has earned a spot on the 2026 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team.

AUSTIN, Tx. - No. 23 Georgia women's basketball team and fourth-ranked Texas meet in a top 25 SEC battle this Thursday at 10 p.m. ET inside the Moody Center.

ATHENS, Ga. — Trinity Beth, a mid-year enrollee who joined the Georgia women's golf team in January, was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Wednesday. Beth posted her second top-25 finish in as many starts at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Ariz., earlier this week.

ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (6-1, 1-0 SEC) opens its home slate this weekend, hosting No. 32 Ole Miss (6-1, 1-0 SEC) on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. ET before welcoming No. 9 LSU (7-2, 0-1 SEC) on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. 

ATHENS, Ga. — No. 8 Georgia baseball team (6-2) suffered a 6-5 loss to Troy in a 12-inning thriller Wednesday afternoon at Foley Field. 

ATHENS, Ga. – No. 11 Georgia Bulldogs softball team fell to the Clemson Tigers, 10-1 (6 inn.), on Wednesday night at Jack Turner Stadium to slide to 13-5 on the season. 

Nashville, Tenn. – The Georgia Bulldogs men's basketball team (19-9, 7-8) fell to the Vanderbilt Commodores (22-6, 9-6) on Wednesday evening at Memorial Gymnasium, 88-80. Sophomore Jeremiah Wilkinson led the Bulldogs with 28 points. 

College Station, Texas — Georgia track & field starts up postseason with the 2026 Indoor SEC Championships hosted by Texas A&M.  The No. 2 Georgia women and No. 9 Georgia men face a gauntlet of competition with nine of 15 women's teams and 12 of 16 men's teams being ranked within the USTFCCCA's latest top-25. Last Season at the indoor conference championships the Bulldog women finished fourth while the men finished ninth.
