Starting with Ole Miss, Bobo became a different OC than he has been. He still had a few Bobo moments but the play calling looked much better overall.

Starting with Ole Miss, Bobo became a different OC than he has been.  He still had a few Bobo moments but the play calling looked much better overall.

He told Gunner to gun it and Frazier to run the damn ball 1st.

Genuinely curious how many screens he threw this season.

According to a quick google search, during the 2024 season, we ran 77 screens or 31% of our passing attempts, making UGA the #1 team in the country for running a screen pass.

Stats don't seem to be available yet for the 2025 season, but 77 seems like a low number. 

I don't care so much about the screen, but it is frustrating to me as a fan who wants to see more explosive plays because I feel like I hold my breath for a first down, and when we get a big play downfield, I feel like I can breathe.  In the end, we've done well.  It's important to understand the personel and what they can do.  When you bring in one player to run a screen pass on 3rd and medium or short every time, we see them fail a lot because the defense knows what personel goes with what play.  That also creates an advantage in late season games when we can run something totally different with the same personel.

OL developing made him look better.  Except against Tech, the OL gave GS14 much more pocket time and opened some big holes for RBs the last part of the season.
