Pollack on Dawg's playoff hopes--- look worrisome
#1
Even if we stomp Tek into the pure'ed crap they are, the Dawgs may get screwed by the CFP criminals.

Pollack sees it coming and is trying to sound the alarm. There are a couple of UGA bigwigs who are not admired by the powers that control the money and are causing targets to be painted on our backs.

"The fourth edition of the College Football Playoff rankings was released on Tuesday and Georgia remained the No. 4 team in the country. This was not a surprise to anyone even after Georgia beat Charlotte this past weekend 35-3 because no team above UGA lost.

The Bulldogs now have just one game left in their regular season against Georgia Tech to prove to the CFP committee why they deserve to remain in the top four and earn a first round bye. But a win, over the Yellow Jackets may not be enough to keep them inside the top four according to David Pollack.

"I think the bye purposes now, like we can look at four and five if Georgia doesn't play for it (SEC Championship)."

[b]David Pollack could see Georgia falling in the CFP rankings

In the above quote Pollack is sharing that he believes Georgia could fall outside of the top four if they don't make the SEC Championship game even if they beat Georgia Tech this weekend.

There are only two teams who could jump Georgia in this instance, and that is No. 5 Texas Tech and No. 6 Oregon. Both team are 10-1 just like Georgia, but if they play for and win their conference championship game in two weeks then Pollack believes they deserve to be ranked above an 11-1 Georgia. If UGA were to fall below No. 4 in the final rankings then they would no longer get a first round bye which means they would need to win four games to win a National Championship.

So Georgia needs to hope that they either make and win the SEC Championship game or Texas Tech and Oregon do not win their conference championship games. If either of those scenarios occur then Georgia should remain in the top four and earn a first round bye again this season.

A first round warm up against a G5 school wouldn't be such a bad thing.

I’m ok with this, too.

I prefer being the 5 seed. First round home game warmup and then take it to the next team up. This long layoff is not good.
