Nashville, TN – (September 27, 2025) – Reigning ACM Artist of the Decade Jason Aldean and five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan are teaming up to play Sanford Stadium at the University of Georgia on April 25, 2026.
ATHENS, Ga.- After beginning the year in High-A Brooklyn, former University of Georgia pitcher Dylan Ross is headed to the Major Leagues after the New York Mets selected his contract from Triple-A Syracuse Saturday. Apparently, Ross was among a group of Mets pitchers that were working out this week at their Spring Training site in St. Lucie, Fla., in case they were needed for the last series against the Marlins in Miami. Ross becomes the 45th former Bulldog to reach the Major Leagues. This season, pitchers Emerson Hancock (Seattle Mariners), Jonathan Cannon (Chicago White Sox) and Cole Wilcox (Tampa Bay Rays) plus infielders Kyle Farmer (Colorado Rockies) and Aaron Schunk (Colorado Rockies) have seen action in the majors.
ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia Athletic Association has announced the second-annual 10K Day at Georgia Volleyball on Oct. 17 when the Bulldogs host Alabama at Stegeman Coliseum. Georgia set a program record and state NCAA volleyball attendance record of 8,376 fans at last season's 10K Day on Oct. 11, 2024. The Bulldogs will look to break both records again this season against the Crimson Tide. Georgia football hosts Ole Miss the following day at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium.
ATHENS, Ga. – With a 24-21 loss to No. 17 UA, Georgia had its school record 33-game home winning streak end tonight, and it was the longest active streak in the FBS. During the streak, it featured 10 wins over ranked teams. The Bulldogs are now 52-5 at home in the Kirby Smart era including 49-2 since 2019. Before tonight, Georgia's last home loss came in 2019 to South Carolina 20-17 in double overtime.
Georgia finished with 357 yards of offense (227-rushing, 130-passing) on 53 plays in the loss. The leading rusher for the Bulldogs was redshirt freshman Chauncey Bowens (12-for-career-high 119 yards, 1TD plus a career-high four catches for 22 yards). He is the first Bulldog to go over 100 yards rushing in a game this year. The last drive featured the first failed fourth down conversion of the year for the Bulldogs after going 5-for-5.
UA finished with 397 yards of total offense (117-rush, 280-passing) on 77 plays. The leading tackler tonight was junior CJ Allen with eight while redshirt sophomore Kyron Jones had seven. sSophomore Chris Cole notched his team-leading third sack of the year, and overall he made five tackles tonight. Opponents have nine points off six Bulldog miscues. The Bulldogs are now 34-3 in their last 37 SEC regular season games with two of those losses to UA. Georgia (3-1, 1-1 SEC) will be back here Oct. 4 against Kentucky at Noon (ABC). Georgia has won 15 in a row against the Wildcats. The Wildcats (2-2, 0-2 SEC) fell 35-13 South Carolina on Saturday.
