Natty, are you Champagne Mikey Adams in disguise? Your pipe snifter is not just half-full; it is 2/3 full of 1990 Dom Perignon.
I lack your faith in our OL. As Lombardi taught us, "No one goes anywhere unless the big men block." I depend on history for clues to future performance. That analysis yields troubling results.
If the WR room develops, it will because of the lack of pro-level coaching from Commander Coley of The Lost Planet Airmen, not because of coaching. Coley is likely looking at his last season in The Classic City, anyway.
Our most talented QB, 'Leave It To Beaver' of Murrieta, does not know the plays yet. When the currently gimpy Gunner goes down to the arrow of Paris, who we gonna let pitch our tent in Bama and Mississippi? Hector is DOA, and Helen has the clap.
Woe is us

Being on the assembly line at the sausage factory is dirty work. I don’t get to see it till it’s in the fridge or at least the buggy. But, the couple of butchers that talk to me about the quality of the pork aren’t as near Muslim as yours.

When I was a tent preacher revivalist, pearl-clutching Bible thumper, I did hang with Guru Maharaj Ji and The Duke of Dubai, as well as Glenn Turner and his hired gun, Lee Bailey. They taught me many wondrous things.
Later I was posing as a Chinaman working on the railroad. The Duke was running a pretense as a Greek restauranteur. Glenn was dead. Lee had been indicted. Lee's law license was made invalid, and then he too died.
Left alone in this cold, cruel world, I turned to football. Sunni, not Shiite football, I must add. We are, as a lot, pessimistic.
We may well suffer through a torturous four(4) losses this season.

We may well suffer through a torturous four(4) losses thing about smoke…it’s rarely the fire anyone notices.
I spent enough evenings listening to groundskeepers, backup quarterbacks, and people who always seemed to know tomorrow’s weather before the clouds did. Most of them talked too much. A few never talked at all.
The silent ones were worth remembering.
I’ve learned not to confuse the schedule with the season, nor headlines with Saturdays.
There are a couple of dominoes still standing. Whether they fall or stay upright isn’t mine to discuss.
Until then, I’ll nod politely when everyone pencils in 11–1.
Carry on.
That has the same flavo
