ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia women's tennis head coach Drake Bernstein has been named to the University of Georgia Alumni Association's 40 Under 40 Class of 2026, an honor recognizing young alumni who are making significant impacts in their professions and communities. A former Georgia men's tennis student-athlete, Bernstein competed for the Bulldogs from 2008-11 before earning a bachelor's degree in education from the Mary Frances Early College of Education in 2011. He returned to Athens as an assistant coach before being named head coach of the Georgia women's tennis program in 2024. In three seasons as Georgia's head coach, Bernstein has compiled a 76-14 record in 90 dual matches while leading the Bulldogs to three national championships and six combined SEC and national titles. Georgia also hosted the NCAA Championships in Athens for the first time in nine years, marking the 33rd time the university has served as host of the event.

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia's 2026 Homecoming game will be versus Vanderbilt on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium on Oct. 3. Kickoff for this matchup will be in the early window between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.  The network will be announced closer to kickoff.  The Bulldogs last faced the Commodores in Nashville in 2023, winning 37-20.  Vanderbilt's last trip to Athens came in 2022 and ended with Georgia collecting a 55-0 victory.

ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia football had 12 selections on the 2026 Preseason Media Days All-Southeastern Conference Team, according to a league announcement on Friday. Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas were all tied-first with 12 preseason All-SEC selections each. Of Georgia's 12 selections, four Bulldogs were named to the preseason conference first team: redshirt senior OT Earnest Greene III, redshirt senior C Drew Bobo, junior S KJ Bolden and redshirt sophomore DB Ellis Robinson IV. On top of Georgia's four first team selections, five Bulldogs were selected to the second team: junior RB Nate Frazier, senior TE Lawson Luckie, sophomore OL Dontrell Glover, sophomore DL Elijah Griffin and senior ILB Raylen Wilson. Further, three Bulldogs – redshirt senior QB Gunner Stockton, senior OLB Gabe Harris, Jr. and senior S Khalil Barnes – were voted to the third team. Georgia was selected to finish first in the conference this season, as well as receiving a league-leading 87 votes to win the 2026 SEC Championship. Media in attendance at SEC Media Days selected the Texas Longhorns to face the Bulldogs in the championship game.
