Figuring out where to spend my big winnings from the class action lawsuit against Facebook I joined a few years ago.

Got my check today. A whopping $6.57. Big Grin

I wonder how much the lawyers made?

30% to 40% of the total settlement and all expenses, plus a pint of Vestal Virgin's blood

Fripp is good if you like to hang out on the beach and at the house.  The place is nice but there are no restaurants or bars or even stores.  It also has golf, but I'm not a golfer.  I bring a boat so it fills up time.  I haven't been to Fripp in years.  I prefer HHI to Fripp, HHI has everything Fripp has plus restaurants, stores, etc..

We don't have any kids at home, so going to the beach in the peak summertime season isn't a requirement any more.  April 1 to around January 1 is beach season for us, with September 1 to January 1 being ideal.  Going for a weekend in mid winter can be nice too if we get a warm spell.

Same here about kids at home…I’ve been out to Fripp once, it’s not really my style, my Family prefers New Smyrna Beach…we have a 3 BR condo reserved in September..grown Son and his Wife and my Grandson will join us…it’s 3 steps to the beach..

A fun fact about New Smyrna Beach; it is the shark bite capital of the US.

We own a share of a condo at HHI.  Daughter and SIL usually come down for part of the week when we go.  They live here, so we see them fairly regularly anyway and it's nice to spend time at the beach with them but it's also nice to be at the beach without them iykwim.  HHI is an easy drive, about 3 hours door to door.  If I lived in the ATL, I'd probably go to the Gulf coast since the drive is pretty close to the same as going to the SC coast and the beaches and water are much prettier.  I like Fernandina but it is about an hour too far away to go regularly.

We do an extended family trip to North Litchfield every August.  It is just below Myrtle but is totally different than the Myrtle/Grand Strand area feel.  The beach there is very nice.
