Recruiting is now in its dead period. No mas official visits.

What was hoped to be a Recruiting Lollapalooza in the Classic City apparently devolved into The Last Tango in Tifton. There were no commits--zero, nada, the null set.

We are being outbid by Vandy, Auburn, Flori-Duh, and most of the rest of the SEC.

I blame Magic Mc and Chili Cheese Chaney. Fire, Brimstone, and Sulfur await them.

Yo, Jackson Street Five, if you want to dance to the music, you have to pay the piper.

Guess we are about to see if Kirby can coach, or was he merely throwing massive amounts of talent at the opposition

Kirby himself said talent was key.  He said no coach can outcoach superior talent.  He said these things after a UF game.

NIL $ has spread out the talent, IMHO..we may see another team come out of the blue this year too

I'm thinking Miami buys the NC this year.  If Kiffen can keep his sh*t together, LSU might be the favorite next year.  I find it a little ironic that LSU, the school and the athletics, are having financial problems, yet they are still buying up talent left and right.  The LSU fans and alumni have plenty of money to throw at NIL and coaches, but the school itself is struggling and no one seems to want to help.

It's like you said, a bad version of the NFL.

Winning in college football has lost a lot of its luster.  College football has become a lot like private school HS football.  The teams that have the most money buy the most talent.  In HS, they build the best facilities and offer scholarships to the best local (and sometimes not so local) athletes.
