AUBURN, ALA. – Fifth-ranked and SEC champion Georgia baseball extended its winning streak to a season-high 11 games with a 9-7 series-clinching victory over fourth-ranked Auburn 9-7 Friday in front of a crowd of 5,566 at Plainsman Park. In its SEC Championship season, Georgia won nine of its 10 league series including all five on the road against ranked opponents. Auburn had won six straight SEC series before the Bulldogs arrived Thursday. Georgia (43-11, 23-6 SEC) concludes the SEC series against the Tigers (35-18, 16-13 SEC) on Saturday with first pitch set for 3 pm ET.
AUBURN, Ala. --- Georgia's track and field teams had three silver medal finishes and one bronze medal showing during day two of the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships in Auburn, Ala., Friday. Alabama is leading on the men's side with 43 points while Georgia is in fifth with 26. For the women, Alabama is No. 1 currently with 62.5 and Georgia is in fourth (22). Junior Nina Ndubuisi collected a silver medal in the shot put after earning gold for Texas in 2025. One spot behind Ndubuisi was senior Kelsie Murrell-Ross, who repeated her 2025 performance with a bronze in the shot. Senior Nikolai van Huyssteen set a school record at SECs for the second year in a row to pick up the second silver medal of his career in the pole vault. Sophomore Jayden Keys complemented his win in 2025 with a fifth-place finish in the long jump this time around. Senior Ella Rush was another scorer for the Georgia women after improving her bronze medal finishes in 2024 and 2025 with a silver this season.
ATHENS, Ga. – The 10th-seeded Georgia Bulldogs softball team rode a four-run fifth inning to defeat the College of Charleston, 5-2, in the opening round of the 2026 NCAA Athens Regional on Friday night at the Jack Turner Stadium. Georgia moves to 39-18 on the season while the Cougars slide to 30-29. The Bulldogs will meet UNC Greensboro at 1:00 p.m. ET in the winner's bracket of the 2026 NCAA Athens Regional.
ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (22-5, 12-3 SEC) advanced to the fourth consecutive NCAA Championship semifinals after a 4-1 victory over No. 8 NC State (25-8, 10-2 ACC) in the NCAA quarterfinal round at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday. No. 1 Georgia will face No. 4 Texas A&M in the NCAA semifinals on Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Playing in front of a packed grandstand at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex, the defending NCAA champion Bulldogs got off to a flying start.
