ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 20/15 Georgia Bulldogs softball team (4-1) lost a 1 hitter as they fell to Belmont (3-2) on the last day of the Red and Black Showcase on Sunday afternoon at the Jack Turner Stadium, 2-1. Belmont started with a two-run home run in the first inning to take an early lead – the only hit allowed in the game by the Georgia pitching staff. The Dawgs will travel to Clearwater, Fl next weekend for the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational before returning to face Samford at home on Wednesday Feb. 18.
PUERTO RICO, - The Georgia Bulldogs women's golf team is set to to Open Spring Slate at the Puerto Rico Classic. The Host is Purdue University from Feb. 9-11 (Mon.-Wed.)
It is 54 Holes over three days (18 holes being played each day) at the Grand Reserve GC.
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Junior guard Rylie Theuerkauf scored a season-high 22 points to lead a balanced effort in Georgia women's basketball 85-66 win at Missouri Sunday afternoon. Georgia improves to 19-5 overall and 5-5 in the SEC, with all five losses coming to top 25 opponents. The Lady Bulldogs are 3-2 in conference road games. Georgia travels to Mississippi State this Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. ET tip.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. --- Former Georgia running back Kenny McIntosh will be collecting a Super Bowl ring after the Seattle Seahawks topped the New England Patriots 29-13 in Levi's Stadium. McIntosh, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., sustained a season-ending knee injury during the preseason and spent the season on the injured reserve for the Seahawks. He completed his career with the Bulldogs in 2022 and was drafted in the seventh round by Seattle in the 2023 NFL Draft.
In addition, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald graduated from the University of Georgia and worked in different roles for the Bulldog football team between 2010-13.
