It’s sad that the one game, charlotte, likely cost him a trip to New York.

Gunner is an odd cat man…I think he’d rather do 3 bloody tuesdays than an interview.

I don't see it that way.  He isn't flashy enough to win the Heisman.  It is an award for hype, not for being the best player.  Gunner doesn't have the gaudy passing numbers that the media and voters love.  

Another 150 passing yards and another td or two against Charlotte wouldn't have changed much.

There were a ton who didn't believe in Stetson (the GOAT) either.  If someone doesn't believe in Gunner by now, an invite to a hype award isn't going to change their mind.
