For context, this was in response to the Michigan situation:



for more context...there's a bit of a debate raging on another site arguing what was meant by Ben about Coach Richt.  Y'all know I'm not a big Richt fan...but, I believe he's spot on with this one.  I think as a man, especially a man in a leadership position, you have to be very careful being alone in a room with a woman.   I got drug for saying that on the other site.  It's sure been my policy for my career.  Maybe it would have been a good one for coach Moore at Michigan too.

You are wise to be careful. My son-in-law, after 19 years with Home Despot was a store manager and was summarily dismissed for having an employee walk into his office and close the door. He told her to open it, and she said she had a"personal problem" for his attention.

His door stayed closed for about 3-4 minutes, and he opened it. She wanted extra time off for a trip with a boyfriend where she hoped for a ring. My SIL told her no. She accused him of improper behavior. He denied it, and there was zero evidence. He was about to qualify for 20 years with Mr. Blank.

We waited a year and sent them our intention to sue letter. Depot settled for a huge payout. SIL was replaced with a foreign-born, female, highly woke 27 year old. She carries home well over $100K plus bonuses.

He went into building affordable single-family homes in the Tampa area.

He is happier.

I concur with Ben & CMR. I sang Gospel Music with a Lady for a couple of years. We never went anywhere alone.

Her husband, my wife, or her sister went with us everywhere we went to sing. We sang within 150 miles of Chattanooga and only had one trip that required a hotel stay and both her husband and my wife came on that trip to Pigeon Forge and we had rooms with our spouses for the 3 nights we were there.
