Georgia hoping to break the curse in the CFP ....
#1
This season is only the second year the 12-team playoff has existed, but so far teams that received a bye have not won a single game.

That is a curse Georgia is hoping to break in a few weeks when they play in their quarterfinals match-up on Jan. 1.

If all the bye teams lose again this playoff, or even 3 of 4, I would think it’s highly that the playoff format would change before next year.
No team wants a bye if it is a decided disadvantage.

I think it's a stretch to call it a curse. We had no business losing to ND but we had a QB in his first ever start throwing to WRs who had been dropping passes all season.

It could very well go the opposite this year.
