Not according to the stats.  He's 33rd in avg yards per punt at 45.2.  The punters from MSU, OK, Ole Miss, and LSU all have higher averages.  The Texas game where he was avoiding their return guy probably has a lot to do with that.  He's 76th in the country in total yards punted.

I don't think he's been quite as effective this year.  That knee injury is still in his head a little bit.  During warmups, he still has 5-7 yards on the backup, and has really started booming some kicks late in the season, but he still didn't look as good as he did in prior seasons.
