I really appreciate the earlier post about Pearl Harbor. My wife and I went to Hawaii for out 25th anniversary in May of this year. The Pearl Harbor tour was the highlight of our trip. My father was on the USS Missouri and I got to walk on the same decks as he did. The Japanese certainly woke a sleeping giant and paid the consequences. USA all the way. We are not without our transgressions, but show me a better country, but you can't !!!!

We are certainly not putting up walls keeping people in.

We were there same time 2 yrs ago. My fav part was exploring the Big Mo. I’ve seen film of it and the treaty signing all my life but nothing can compare to seeing the size of those cannons in person.
My oldest first cousin flew corsairs off the Lexington. The day before the signing his squadron was flying security patrol over mainland Japan with orders to shoot down any plane trying to take off other than the Red Cross planes. Unfortunately they flew into a bad storm on the way in and his and another plane collided and crashed into the ocean so while the signing was going on the Missouri the remainder of his squadron was out searching the area for them, but no sign of either plane was ever found.
