Been awake since 2 am. Not surprised. It's been a bit of a dry mouth few days for sure. Hopefully, I get good news instead of not so good.  Undecided

No cancer...nada...zip! Bad hip joint full of arthritis, torn labrum, and boney matter. Two weeks ago, he walked in the office in a slow motion, with a serious look on his face. Today, he walked in like it was his birthday. Damned glad of that. Now, it's an injection followed by surgery to replace the hip joint.

Thanks for allowing me the time and space here to vent a little. It helped.

It puts things into perspective when you are excited and relieved about having hip replacement.

Man.  That is great news.

A buddy I have known since we were about 10 has been laying a bunch of cancer stuff on me.  He's been dealing with it for a year and a half and is starting a round of chemo.  He was worried about the chemo and further impact on his quality of life.  It's not expected to be a cure but only a shot at extending his life for another 4-5 years.  He was really weighing not doing it.  I think I helped convince him to give it a shot.  Small chance it does better than they think.

He needs to be there for his kids for as long as he can.  Got one in college and two twin boys in high school.
