wtf do people plan weddings during foosball season?  The only people that want to be there are the women.  Selfish imo.  They have capitulated and will have TV set up at the reception.

My oldest got married on the GA/Ole Piss game last year. In MA. They don't even know there's college football. Had the game on at the reception and it was a real downer.

My goodness! I don’t get it at all.

But, I’m not saying a word. I’ve got two that haven’t been down that road yet. Someone will probably do something stupid.

Luckily for me, JC Daughter is a UGA alumnae and huge Georgia fan. When she got engaged, her first comment about when the wedding might be when my wife asked was "it's not going to be during football season, that's for sure".

My daughter (Double Dawg) was raised right. Her wedding is in April.

Wife and I married on an off weekend in the fall of 1989. We have taken various road trips to games to celebrate our anniversary…good times, IMHO..

I dislike going to weddings because I feel bad because it is one day and it costs so much. I'd rather send a nice gift instead. All of my friends and family have been told if you want me to show up, don't get married during football season. One of my wife's cousins got married during football season. The invitation included a request of cash for $75 per person to help cover the cost of the wedding. I took one look at the invite and told my wife, they really don't want us to go. And we didn't. I did not send a super nice gift but I did buy a mellonballer and a couple of spoons and forks they had on their registry.

If someone had the audacity to ask me to send money to help pay for their wedding, I wouldn't send money, a gift or go to the wedding.  That is a person who does not need to have a wedding.
