I can't remember a game where I've got less of a clue on what to expect...

(10-17-2025, 07:44 AM)Replying to DawgNatty I FEEL like we may be ready to play a breakout game.  But, I'm not confident in much of anything with this team.

Lots of talking heads seem to think this is a game where we establish the run and control the clock...I could see that.

Here's one:  How about a game where the OTHER team turns it over 2-3 times?  I feel like teams (minus the big goof last week) have played some of their best games against us.  Bama sure did.  I think we are due some interceptions and turnovers go our way.

One thing is for sure, I don't think we can "spot" Ole Mrs. the 10-14 points in Q1 and claw our way back.  We need to actually show up in the 1st quarter for a change on both sides of the ball.

It would not surprise me to see one of the lesser known stars like Peanut (RB Phillips) or Noah Thomas have a long touchdown.  I don't know if you've noticed, but, Frazier has sacrificed some of his explosiveness for ball control.  He's taking care of the rock 1st and everything else second.

I could see this game being 34-17 either way.

I have absolutely no idea how this team will play tomorrow. All I can do is watch and hope.

I've noticed that about Frazier, and coincidentally, it might improve his vision. Or maybe he just doesn't have vision, but slowing down can be a good thing.

(10-17-2025, 08:52 AM)Replying to McDonoughDawg I wouldn’t call this team confusing, I would call them young.

Dawgs win and cover..

Youth is definitely an issue but what explains last season?  We did not score a first half td in something like 8 games last season.  I know the WR depth was bad last season but, supposedly, that has been addressed this year yet we still struggle to score in the first half.

I hope I'm wrong but it feels like we are back to the CMR days where there is always a huge hole in the roster every season.  WRs and RBs last season, OL, DL and DBs this season, I thought those days were behind us with Kirby.  Maybe the portal is the problem?  We keep stacking top 3 recruiting classes but the talent on the field doesn't look top 3.

redpants has it right though.  Tomorrow is going to be a really nice day in Athens.  Let's hope the game goes well.
I think last year's team had some cancers and in the ultimate team sport, that is a killer.
