Good weekend for our family
#1
Our 15 yr old granddaughter, a ROTC member, was chosen to be in the color guard for her high school football game.

Our 17 year old granddaughter was crowned Homecoming Queen at her high school and her boy friend was selected King.  He is the kicker on the FB team, and kicked the winning extra point with 37 seconds remaining.  Our 21 year old granddaughter, a senior at FSU, surprised her sister and came home for the game.  This is the 3rd HC Queen from the family.  Our oldest daughter (the Mom) in 1996, our oldest granddaughter (senior at FSU) 2022, and my daughter’s middle child who is this year’s HCQ.  She has one more daughter, who is a freshman.  At church, the pastor told the youngest he knew the pressure was on and he was going to start praying for her now.

Y'all must have some great genes in the female side of your family. Being the dad or grandad of a bunch of beautiful girls would entail a lot of diligent watching of any young men hanging around.

I have one pretty daughter.  Luckily for me, she was into horses and they took up almost all of her time (and my money) until after college.  I would have been a nervous wreck if she was a cheerleader/popular/homecoming queen/social butterfly sort of girl with boys circling all the time.

We are truly blessed in that they are all conservative Christian young women.  Their Parents are very involved in their activities and lives.  Additionally, the church has had a significant impact on their character, beliefs, and attitudes.   They are currently focused on school and their futures more than boys, and I hope it stays that way.  Their parents have done a superb job, and things have gone very well with all of them thus far, and I pray it stays that way going forward.
